Donations will support Early Alert Canines‘ training programs and client follow-up initiatives to help individuals with Type 1 Diabetes and their families. The nonprofit offers round-the-clock assistance for the lifetime of the dog, including continuous training, guidance on veterinary care, and advocacy to help clients understand and exercise their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Goal: $5,000
Donations will support Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area programs, including the nonprofit’s Communication Readiness Program, support groups, classes, music therapy, educational webinars and workshops, one-on-one consultations, and welcome gift packages containing information for parents and handmade baby quilts among other items. Goal: $10,000
Donations will help Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area provide THRIVE classes (weekly developmental classes for children and adults with Down syndrome); weekly music therapy classes; a holiday event and meeting Santa Claus; our support groups for relatives and new families.
Donations will help Civicorps support the salary of a case counselors, who provides trauma-informed counseling, conflict resolution, social services support, and case management to over 250 Corps-members annually.
