Since 1989, Share the Spirit has helped those in need in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties and the rest of the Bay Area by publishing their “Stories” — an in-depth account of their hopes and struggles — in the East Bay Times during the holiday season. Saint Vincent’s Day Home is a lifeline for struggling East Bay parents

Donations will allow Saint Vincent’s to give the families of 200 children a $50 gift card, to augment donated toys and books, to help families buy winter clothes, food, or other necessities during the holidays.

Donations will help Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center deliver 10-week, Spanish-language courses for 30 lower income, Spanish-speaking individuals, to help aspiring entrepreneurs build the skills, business acumen and support networks to become successful small business owners.

Donations will help ShowerHouse Ministries pay for operating the showers, supplying items for hygiene kits and clean clothes, purchasing food and putting gas in the truck and filling propane tanks for hot water and cooking.

Donations will allow St. Vincent de Paul of Contra Costa County, (SVdP), to brighten the holidays for low-income residents of East County. Their food-gift card distribution program at Thanksgiving and Christmas would serve 300 families-over or 1,200 individuals.
