If selected, our photographers will be shooting pictures to tell the story. They will look for significant locations, time of day, scenery that will showcase the care and joy received with your services. We would like you to provide details on when and where be the best places for a the most ideal photograph. For example, a food bank should write down when and where their handouts will occur. Consent for individuals

Readers and donors respond better to stories centered on individuals who are helped by your organization and are willing to share their story. However, we do require written consent from the individual to share their story to our reporters and photographers. Share the Spirit does understand that some organizations have to protect clients for safety reasons. In those cases, we can discuss with you ways to maintain privacy while fulfilling our goal to write compelling stories.
Has the individual already given written consent to share their story and cooperate with a East Bay Times or Bay Area News Group reporter?*
Has the individual already given written consent to have pictures taken by a East Bay Times or Bay Area News Group photograher?*
Contact person for news reporter*
We require a representative to serve as story contact. This person will need to be available for email and phone calls from East Bay Times/Bay Area News Group reporters from late September thru mid-November. It can be the same as the contact person from above. If it will be someone else, you will be prompted for more information when you click on "New contact person." This may also be a back-up contact for your primary contact.
To avoid any conflict of interest, please disclose any employees or key volunteers at your organization with connections to the East Bay Times or Bay Area News Group. Please list their name, title or role, and nature of connection. For example: John Doe, volunteer board secretary, former music writer for East Bay Times; or Jane Doe, organization Executive Director, spouse employed as Features Editor at The Mercury News (a subsidiary of the Bay Area News Group.)
